The Search for Life on Solar System Moons

  • Even within our solar system, intriguing candidates beckon exploration. For instance, certain solar system moons are even strongly evidenced as having atmospheres, forms of active weather, subsurface liquid water oceans (on Europa, moon of Jupiter), surface lakes of liquid hydrocarbons (on Titan, moon of Saturn) and active geysers / super-cold erupting volcanos (on Enceladus, moon of Saturn).
